'Walking with the Earth: Nomadic Indigenous Peoples, Traditional Wisdom, and Global Futures' Exhibit

The “Walking with the Earth: Nomadic Indigenous Peoples, Traditional Wisdom, and Global Futures” artist exhibit will be presented during COP17 celebrating the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists 2026. 

The exhibition highlights nomadic and pastoralist Indigenous Peoples and emphasizes the importance of traditional knowledge and cultural continuity in shaping sustainable futures. The same exhibition has previously been viewed by thousands at the United Nations Headquarters during the U.N. Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, reinforcing continuity across processes and highlighting the importance of mobility as a central element of nomadic and pastoralist ways of life.
