Topic: Nara made history as the first female leader for the Coordination of the Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon (COIAB), one of the largest Indigenous organizations in South America. Building on a long trajectory as an Indigenous leader in Brazil, she is now leading all of Nia Tero’s work in Brazil. In this keynote, she’ll address the global significance of the Marco Temporal (Time Frame) law and its potential to undermine the rights of Indigenous Peoples and their territorial claims.
