Pacific Northwest Art Fellowship Portrait - Ciara Lacy (Kanaka Maoli)

The Nia Tero Pacific Northwest Arts Fellowship uplifts the work and personal stories of the remarkable Indigenous artists who live and work in the vibrant arts scenes surrounding Nia Tero's backyard. Diverse voices from many Indigenous territories around the world, these remarkable artists represent the resilience, power and beauty of the Native experience.

This short film features Ciara Lacy (Kānaka Maoli), a Native Hawaiian filmmaker from Mililani on Oahu, Hawai'i, on the healing power of culture, and the exciting shift in perspective coming with new and emerging Indigenous filmmakers, specifically from Hawai'i.
