SIFF Land Acknowledgment

Created for the 2021 Seattle International Film Festival to precede all virtual and COVID-safe in-person screenings, this short film narrated by McKenna Sweet Dorman of the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe shows the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and the many beings who exist here, and pays homage to the Coast Salish people who have called this place home since Time Immemorial. This includes the Duwamish (dxʷdəwʔabš), Suquamish Tribe, (dxʷəq̓ʷabš), Muckleshoot Indian Tribe (bəqəlšuł) and Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (sdukʷalbixʷ).
